Primary One Orientation and Class BBQ
The Primary One Orientation was held today in the morning. All the teachers came back to help. It was heartrending to see so many parents and students in school.
The class also went to Pasir Ris Beach to have a BBQ and treasure hunt. It was fun. Let the video do the talking. Please allow time for the video to load. Please wait for the grey line to reach the end before starting the video.
Thanks everyone for such a great year! I wish everyone a great holiday and a great year ahead.
Today is the last day of the school calendar and White Sands Primary School held the annual Prize Giving Day. The hall was packed with parents, invited guests and students. It was a fun filled morning.
Every department also set up an exhibition to showcase what the school has done for the past year. Many parents and guests visited the exhibition. :)
Congratulations to the prize winners. From left, we have Xiao Han, Esther, Royden and Kuven. Keep up the excellent work. Always remember to reach out for the stars. :)
Today was the last day of the school year 2005. There was the final rehearsal for the Prize Giving Day tomorrow in the morning. Some of the primary 3 students were involved in that too.
The primary 3 students got to know what their classes were for the next year. They also got to meet their classmates for the year 2006. I am sure they are looking forward to the next year.
To all the students in 3A this year, a very huge thank you for being such a great class! It was a pleasure and joy to teach you. As we go our separate ways, do not forget the great times we had this year. Friends forever!!! :)
The grand finale will be the class BBQ this Saturday. I hope to see all of you there. :)
That's right. You did not read wrongly. It is indeed a SAD day. SAD actually stands for Speech And Drama. :P The primary 3 Chinese Language students finally got a chance to showcase their talents today in front of parents and invited guests.
I must say that it was a job well done! All their hard work has paid off. There was also an interclass captains ball game. 3B and 3C emerged the winners of that. :)
Tomorrow is promotion day. The students will get to see who their classmates will be for the year 2006! Isn't it exciting?
The game masters made a trip to Pasir Ris Park this morning to help plan for the treasure hunt. There was a lot of walking but I think it was worth it. Am I right, game masters? The treasure hunt is going to be challenging. :P Thanks game masters! A great job done!
Half of the Primary 5 classes went on the trip to Chinatown. It was a very enjoyable journey. Even I learnt a lot of things from the tour guide. We had to do quite a bit of walking though. :(
I was back in school in time to catch the rehearsal for the speech and drama performances for tomorrow. I must say I enjoyed snippets of the rehearsal. I am looking forward to the actual performance tomorrow. :)
Some classes had the privilege to select some toys from a whole truckload full (literally). There were toys of all shapes, sizes and colours. I wished I were a kid again. These toys are for some of the more needy students in school.
Can I have a toy pleaseeeee? keke... :P
Tomorrow, the game masters will be making a trip to Pasir Ris Park to help plan the treasure hunt. I hope it does not rain. :S
It was a bright and sunny Sunday so I took a walk to the beach to see where the BBQ pit was. Wow! It is next to the beach. Wonderful view. I also walked around the area to plan for the treasure hunt. It's not going to be easy. :P
The game masters will help me plan for it next week. I am definitely looking forward to it. Any thoughts? Feelings? Suggestions?
For those taking bus 403, alight at B07 along Elias Road. : )
I caught this movie today. It was great! The story is about how children of super hero have to discover their powers and learn how to use them properly.
This is similar to how we need to discover our talents and how to make the best use of them? So, what are some of your talents?
Today, some primary 3 students were appointed as prefects. They were given the tie and had to perform their first duties today. The prefects from 3A are Krystin, Gillett, Ivan and Zhi Xiang.
The report book was also returned to them today. The top three students in the class are:
The long awaited GEP results are out! Three pupils from 3C were selected for the GEP program. Jun Hao is one of them. He is a very pleasant and bright boy. He will be leaving us for the GEP program. We'll wish him all the best in his future undertakings. :)
Today, the school held a Deeparaya concert which featured dances, poems, singing and a fashion show. Kuven and Darwish from the class also performed. It was a very lively concert. The school had a great time there.
The class also celebrated the birthday of the students born in November and December. From left to right, we have Sharifah, Jerome, Gerald, Darwish and Kenzi. Jia Li is not in the picture because she went for speech and drama lessons. Anyway, a very happy birthday to them!
