An eventful Saturday

It was an eventful Saturday. While most of you stayed home and enjoyed the weekend, there were many events happening. Bright and early in the morning, there was a briefing for the P4 parents on the streaming procedure. The slides can be downloaded here.

Later in the day, some of the P4s (including Najiy) went for a scrabble competition held at Elias CC. They had a tough fight as some of the competitors were from secondary school and even JCs. Wow!

Meanwhile, the P5s went for the NE show at the National Stadium. The P3 and P4 scouts attended a campfire at Ngee Ann Secondary School. I am sure they enjoyed themselves. What a long day!!

Practical Test

The P4s had their first practical test today. They had to complete three separate task which test them on the various skills they have learnt so far. They had to draw a cucumber, find the volume of some marbles and make conclusions after looking at two beakers of liquid.

How was the test? Would anyone like to comment?

Advanced Internet Course

Quite a number of students turned up for the Advanced Internet Course conducted by Mr. Faizul, the school's TA. The session was both informative and enjoyable.

The pupils learnt many new things and also played some games. All of us enjoyed it very much.

Step-with-It

The primary 4 students embarked on another program today. It is none other than the Step-with-It program. Each student was given a stepometer and they have to monitor the number of the steps they take.

There was a very fun and energy packed workout that was conducted in the hall and many students actually managed to clock at least 2000 steps. Wow! Great job!

SYF 2006

Some students and teachers made their way to the National Stadium for the SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) opening ceremony. There was a parade and a splendid performance put up by various schools.

They had a fun time there - singing, clapping, cheering and screaming. The guest of honur was none other than the PRIME MINISTER!!! Wow... We all caught a glimpse of him as he rode by.

The pictures above speak a thousand words!
